Itunes Shuffle

Today, I gave myself the challenge of putting my Itunes on 
shuffle and writing about whatever song comes on first.

here we go..

"The other side" - Jason Derulo.

Okay, I don't even know where to start. This actually used to be my favourite song! Whenever I was in a club, I would always hope that this song would get played. Even though I'd already played it about 14 times before I had left my house.

Just going to go through some of the lyrics that I just do not for the life of me, understand and go through the concept of this song.

So basically, he's met this girl and they taking some pictures in a photo booth and she ends up eating off his spoon..
They get closer and they talk all afternoon, cute.
Then, he starts talking about them getting drunk and horny and she whispers that they're "going all the way".
He then tells her to "take him to the other side" - sparks fly, they're not friends anymore, if they walk down a road though, they'll be lovers for sure, so she needs to kiss him like it's do or die.. because at the end of the day,  he's just really turned on, bless him.

So then, he basically tells her 'look, I know you're nervous but just let me do all the work and sit back and enjoy. You're not gonna know if you like it unless you try, so let's just go for it'. He basically is just trying to shut her up so he can enjoy having sex with her. He then just repeats over and over about getting drunk and kissing her and how she's looking really sexy and he just wants to take all her clothes off and shag her.

And, that's pretty much the whole song. It's so catchy but the lyrics just make me bitter about this song. I can't believe how much I loved this song.

January Blues.

It's time to face reality. The January blues have finally hit!
It's common to get them, I know. Christmas is over, I'm back in Southampton and uni has started again. Not that I mind any of that, it was just nice to have a 6 week break, hehe. 

The only downer is the weather. I know it's mainstream to complain but it just makes me so sad. It's so dark and cold all the time, I mean living opposite the park isn't great either. It's so foggy and grey, it just makes it look creepy. Really no justice towards it's reputation either.

I just want it to be summer already!! i'm already way too excited to see a little bit of sunshine and some green grass. The best part of it being summer though, is that we'll have our new house to live in and that means BBQ's and parties and cocktail evenings in the garden is a definite must!!

I do miss living so close to the beaches but I think when it's summer, I will miss it that little bit more. I mean, I'm not that far from Bournemouth so a few trips there in the summer will be lovely, but just knowing that I have to plan and travel there is a bit of a bummer.

January is almost over now and February should be a happy month. It's Valentines day, I'm going to see Jack Whitehall, birthday celebrations and who knows what else will pop up in the meantime. There's always going to be something to look forward to and just knowing that is already making the January blues disappear :)
